Students will be prepared to work as facility managers after completing this 36-hour, 4.2-weeks curriculum. Facility managers must have a strong business sense and a broad range of technical skills. This course serves as a foundation for a career in facilities management. You’ll learn how to build and manage operations and maintenance programs and manage staff efficiently to keep the workload under control. In addition, you’ll discover how to appreciate the value of facilities management to business organizations and operations and internal marketing initiatives. You’ll also learn project management and leadership skills that will assist you in succeeding in your future career goals.

Teaching Methods:
Student learning will be through a combination of staff contact hours with the lecturer in the classroom, intended learning hours, and self-managed study. The staff contact hours will involve a range of learning approaches including group exercises, workshops, guided individual activities and lecturer presentations.
