The rapid growth of e-commerce has created the demand for workers across all markets, which could turn out to be unsustainable in the already labor-strapped industry, says a recent report from CBRE, the international industrial real estate firm.
The Retail Sales and Service Associate Training Program is designed to assist individuals with barriers to employment. The program teaches the skills needed to obtain work in Retail Front Stores, Banks, and Offices requiring customer’s reception. OIC’s online training covers shipping and receiving procedures, inventory maintenance, order picking, employability skills, communication skills, and interviewing techniques. Through brief work experience, students practice these skills in a retail store or a customer/client service position in a commercial or office setting.
Learning Objectives:
The primary responsibility of a retail associate is to sell, rent, or lease a product or service to a consumer. Helping customers find what they are looking for is a large part of the selling process in any retail business. The retail associate may be selling anything from shoes to wallpaper, to computer equipment.
